What we keep
Short, because there is not much of it.
Without an account
Your shelf — the cards you mark, the saved searches you save, the players you follow — lives in your own browser's storage and goes nowhere else. Clear your browser data and it is gone, including from us, because we never had it.
With an account
Signing in stores three things, against an account id and nothing else:
- the cards you have marked as yours, as the words printed on them
- the saved searches you saved, and when you last looked at each
- the players, releases and makers you follow
Your email address and password are held by Clerk, who handle sign-in. We never see your password. The shelf itself sits in a Neon Postgres database. Both run under our account and neither is shared with anyone.
If you send us a checklist
The form at the foot of the coverage sheet stores what you type — your email address, the one-line "what's missing", the link and the paste if you gave them — plus your browser's user-agent string and which page the form was on, so we can tell one submission from another. It goes into a private store nobody but us can read, and a receipt line naming your address and the submission's id goes into our host's server logs, which age out on their own.
We use it for one thing: checking the claim and writing back to you about it. It is not a mailing list, it is never sold or shared, and it never becomes an advertising audience. If you want it gone, email the address below quoting the reference the thank-you gave you and we delete the stored submission by hand — there is no self-serve button for this one, and the copy in the host's server logs expires on its own rather than being purged. If your contribution has already become a catalog ruling, the ruling stays and credits your reference, not your name.
Counting visits
We count page views and page speed through Vercel, the host. It sets no cookies, does not identify you, and cannot follow you to other sites. It tells us which pages people use and which ones are slow — nothing about who you are.
What we do not do
- No advertising trackers, and nothing that follows you off this site.
- No selling or sharing of your collection, your email, or what you search.
- No building a profile of you for anyone else.
eBay links
Links to eBay carry an affiliate code, so a purchase may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Every page that shows one says so. When the site shows live listings, your search terms go to eBay to fetch them — your identity does not.
Taking it back
Export on your collection downloads everything as a file, at any time, account or not. Delete my collection on the same page erases every card, lane and follow from our database immediately. Deleting the account itself is under Account, also on that page.
Children
Accounts are not intended for anyone under 13.
